The technical issues of Opus 636 études are generally not very complicated and typical for classical piano literature. Each of the 24 short études usually contains only one fundamental technical issue developed in the form of progression.
The simplicity of texture was probably the reason for placing this collection in the curriculum for music schools of the first degree (classes IV-V), and thus much earlier than the Opus 299 etudes - more difficult, especially the last books. Opus 636 may find application in pedagogical practice of schools of both I and II degree.
