Sonate op. 1

Alban Berg's Sonata Opus 1 for Piano has often been termed as a milestone in early 20th century music. The sonata clearly stems from the Romantic period, but the 'modern' harmonies and complex thematic developments play a part in transcending boundaries and ushering in a new era. The arrangement by Christophe Dejour is as close to the original source as possible.
